2023 Bird Bander Training with Puget Sound Bird Observatory
Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn the skills needed to participate in monitoring and research programs involving bird banding.
The Bander Training course is a five-day hands-on training class that takes place over two weekends this summer.
The course will split locations this season to better give students experience with different species and more opportunities to handle birds. The first weekend will take place on the grounds at Northwest Trek in Eatonville, and the second weekend will move north to Shoreline. The timing of this course will allow students to learn from adult birds breeding and post breeding, and newly hatched first-year birds.
